1.21.1 Reset and Update
Wow, this is a massive update to the network with all servers getting a fresh lick of paint, a full reset and lots and lots of new content to discover and play with.
OK, let me take you through the changes and updates to the network.
Firstly, our resident builder has been busy and a new lobby greets you as you arrive in MC-Ages. Wow an amazing job, so thank you Iden for your hard work.
In addition to this, we have decided to create an MC-Ages museum, featuring some of the amazing builds that our members have created over the three previous seasons of MC-Ages. An NPC or portal will be opened soon so you are able browse and enjoy some of the amazing creations that our community has built over the ages.
The lobby will also be used as a portal to our various event areas that are coming. Here you will win rewards that you are able to take back to your main game server for items in-game on that server. More about will come later in the year, so keep an eye out on discord and here for further news.
Now onto the game servers. Firstly on all the survival based ages, all living worlds are now have a custom generated living world with lots of breath taking landscapes, custom biomes and randomly placed structures.. The mining server worlds are still normal vanilla generation.
I will now try and list all the new content that has been introduced with basic commands and information:
There are lots of 'un the hood' changes to the network for future combability and better stability. There are a few kinks that need still need to ironed out but largely the reset launch was a success.
All Servers
Achievements:
MC-Ages now has its very own achievements plugin has been added, which is also unique to each server. As with vanilla, just press 'L' to access the menu. The achievements are there to try and guide you through some of our important plugins, as well as being a bit of. I am still writing this plugin and it will be coming to O-Age and S-Age soon, as well ahs having more achievements added.
Bank
The is accessed by using the /bankp command. Like in real life, money saved in here will earn interest. As you save more money, you will need to upgrade your bank. Full information is within the GUI when you use the command.
Expandable chests
This item is available in the miscellaneous section of /shop. This is a single chest so just place it as normal, but wait, when you open it, it is actually a double chest. If you move your cursor to
the right, outside the inventory and right click, you can expand the chest (for a cost of course) to a second page, and again and again and again. Wow a single chest that expands to equivalent of 8 double chests!! Once you have more than one expansion, move your cursor either to the left and left click to page back, and to the right and right click to page forward inside your chest.
Sit
Yes after many many months of being nagged by the community, sit is here. You can use the following blocks as chairs to sit on; all stair and slab variations. This is an in-game ranked benefit, so please see /ranks. To sit on a slab, right click, to get up press 'r'.
Player Shops
Out with the markets and in with local player shops. On Towny, only the Mayor can decide what plaots will be shop designated plots and how to manage them. On Industrial and dark, you can use one of your player warps /pwarp as a place to house your shop. O-Age and S-age you can set an island warp for your shop.
Towny Age
The EM wars and been updated and revamped. All the dungeons and mob battles are now accessed via the Guild /warp guild. Here you can either use the NPC's or the wormholes to take you to an epic journey and boss battle with 1,000's of different bosses. As always choose your battles careful and make sure you upgrade your armour ans guild ranks or else if you go into a harder levelled dungeon, you life will be short lived.
Industrial Age
The major change here is the new industrial machines plugin., This is a major upgrade from the previous version and I will write a totally separate page on this within the plugins section of forum. To get started do /mt help and read the information. You can see all the industrial items that can be crafted by doing /mt items.
This is a progressive plugin requiring you to upskill you abilities by doing research. and therefore giving you access to more advanced items. Many of the machines will use power, so you will need to make a generator. There are several different types from combustion to solar to wind generators. But make sure you keep an eye on your pollution levels, as dirty air will encourage the spawning of nests ....... with biter in them!!
